Initially from an engineering background, Tessa worked in multi-national companies on familiar Sydney landmarks, such as Westmead Hospital, Port Botany shipping terminals, the Sydney Exchange Centre and the Masonic Centre, Castlereagh St.

After a move to far west NSW and then Central Victoria and taking time out to raise a family, Tessa decided to divert her career path towards architectural design.

Upon returning to Sydney in 1999, she began work with a company specialising in corporate interior design. Later she progressed to an architectural company which specialised in resort hotels, student accommodation and aged care facilities.

The idea to begin her own company was generated from her wish to have more direct client contact and to work on smaller, more intimate projects that offered a greater opportunity for creative flair and a shorter time frame for realising the results in a completed project.
